Autism Circuit

The Autism Circuit is a project based at ESC Region 13 and funded by a grant from the Texas Education Agency for the purpose of providing professional development to educators working with students with autism spectrum disorder.

For every tool, you will find:

  • An explanation of how and when to use it

  • Printable templates and resources

  • Links to opportunities to further your knowledge on the evidence-base for that strategy

Tools are sorted into four categories: Behavior, Communication, Social, and Classroom Organization. The toolkit is also searchable by skill, setting, behavior, or tool name.

The Autism Circuit has recorded a series of 28 free 30-45 minute webinars on evidence-based practices (EBPs) as identified by the National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Autism Circuit team would like to highlight the first five webinars in the series, Reinforcement (including Differential Reinforcement), Prompting, Task Analysis, and Modeling, because they are the EBPs that have been found to be most effective for the most outcomes with the most students. These five strategies are often used along with the other 22 EBPs discussed in the series, and are referenced as core strategies throughout the remainder of the Autism Circuit webinar series. Consider these five EBPs your “gift box” and an important complement to the Autism Circuit Toolkit site.
